I don't care who you are... that's funny

The Afghan chieftain looked older than his 60-odd years, and his bearded face bore the creases of a man burdened with duties as tribal patriarch and husband to four younger women. His visitor, a CIA officer, saw an opportunity, and reached into his bag for a small gift.

Four blue pills. Viagra.

"Take one of these. You'll love it," the officer said. Compliments of Uncle Sam.

The enticement worked. The officer, who described the encounter, returned four days later to an enthusiastic reception. The grinning chief offered up a bonanza of information about Taliban movements and supply routes — followed by a request for more pills....

Can my devils make The Dance?

What's it going to take to make the Dance?
There's been plenty to complain about this season (RE, no defense, bad play calling, guard play, etc.). I thought it would be a good exercise to look forward to see what we need to get done in order to go Dancing.
Current Record - 16-7 (5-6 P10)
We've got UCLA & USC, OSU & Oregon, Washington & WSU, & uofa.
In my opinion, we must beat USC, both Oregon schools, WSU… and beat either UCLA, Washington, or uofa, to be on the bubble. That would put our record at 21-9 (10-8 P10). I think this would probably put us in regardless of what happens in the P10 Tourney. We have to show the selection committee that we can beat a quality opponent.
If we finished the regular season at 20-10 (9-9 P10), there would be a very outside shot at the dance if we went deep into the Pac10 Tourney.
Otherwise, it's the NIT for my devils.
These are my $0.02.

GO DEVILS!!!

Moving Iraq Election Video

The Ethics & Public Policy Center has posted a short 3 minute video showing pictures from the Iraq election on Jan 3.

After watching these brave Iraqis, I was somewhat embarrassed at my lack of gratitude for what we have here in America. I wasn't very comfortable with the answer when I asked myself if I would go to the polls if someone had threatened the life of my family for doing so.
